 Um die Italeri Ju88 A-4 in eine A-1 zu verwandeln, war folgendes nötig: Austausch der unteren Motordeckel; ging leicht mit zusätzlichen oberen. Kürzen der Spannweite auf die korrekte Länge , Querruder laufen in die Tragflächenspitzen aus. Austausch der "Doppel-Blase" der hinteren Kanzel in eine normale, die ich selbst zog. Auch die vordere Kanzel habe ich selbst gezogen. Diese zwei Vacu's sind noch viel klarer als die Bausatz-Teile. Ich verbesserte das Cockpit mit selbstgemachten Gurten, Munitionsbehältern und -gurten, Vorhängen als Sonnenblenden, bohrte die MG auf und fertigte die MG-Visiere selbst an (aus Kupferlitzen).  To optimize the Italeri Ju88 A-4 into Ju88 A-1 following works were necessary: Change of lower engine-cowlings; easy done with some extra upper halves. Shortening the wing-span to the correct measures, ailerons were discontinued to the wingtips. Changing the "double-bubble" of the rear-cockpit-hood inta a "single-bubble" with a self-made vacu. Also changing the front canopy into a self-made vacu. Those two vacus are much clearer than the original parts of the kit. Changing the cockpit-interior with adding of self-made seat-belts, ammunition-boxes and -belts, stores against sun-dazzle, drilling up the guns and adding self-made gun-sights (single copper-wire).
