Fujimi	Junkers Ju 87 D-3

Um die Ju 87 D zu verbessern, waren folgende Arbeiten nötig: Nicht viel. Der Fujimi Bausatz in 1/72 zeichnet sich durch hervorragende Detailtreue und Paßgenauigkeit aus. Ich behaupte sogar, nicht einmal die neuen Revell-Formen sind besser. Ich habe bloß das Visier für das Heck-MG neu gemacht, sowie die zwei Läufe der MG 151/20 in den Tragflächen durch Kanülen ersetzt. Die D-3 hatte nämlich statt der MG 17 die MG 151/20 in den Tragflächen. Ach ja, die Anlenkungen für die Ruder habe ich aus Kupferlitze neu gemacht. Die Tarnung ist standard Hellblau unten, Schwarzgrün und Dunkelgrün oben, ohne zu mischen. Diese Seite widme ich meinem Vater, weil ich die Maschine so gebaut habe, wie sie mein Vater damals bei II./StG 2 geflogen hat. Die Kennung ist leider nur annähernd authentisch, da mein Vater sich nicht mehr genau daran erinnern konnte und beinahe all seine Unterlagen kriegsbedingt verloren gingen.

To optimize the Ju 87 D, following works were necessary: Not so much. The parts of this old Fujimi kit fit exellently and the details are excellent, too. I say, the new molds of Revell are not better than this one. I just built a new gunsight on the backward firing MG and replaced the barrels of the two MG 151/20 in the wings by the usual tubules. The D-3 variant was equipped with MG 151/20 in the wings instead of the MG 17. Oh, by the way, the levers of the flaps were replaced by selfmade ones of copper-wire. The camouflage is the usual lightblue on the lower, blackgreen and darkgreen on the upper sides, without any mixing. This site is dedicated to my father, because this aircraft is built as my father's one, when he was flying the Ju 87 D in the Stuka Geschwader 2. It's a pity, the code is only alsmost correct, caused by the fact, that my father was not able to remember and nearly all his documents were lost at the end of the war.
