Um die Heller Bf 109 D zu verbessern, war folgendes nötig: Öffnen der MG-Kühlschlitze in der Motorhaube, Anfertigen des Visiers, Einbau selbstgemachter Gurten, Ersetzen der MG's durch selbstgemachte Röhrchen, und ... ??? Ich glaube, ich bin nicht der schlechteste Modellbauer und bin gern beschäftigt, aber mehr war hier für ein schönes Modell nicht zu tun. Ja, gut, die Hinterkanten der Flügel könnten etwas scharfkantiger sein - aber, galubt mir, das sieht man kaum, wenn man diesen kleinen Bausatz in der Hand hat. Und dieser alte Heller Bausatz hat eine beinahe komplette Cockpit-Einrichtung vorzuweisen. Das ist auch der Grund, warum er sich verdient hat. Das Wappen des Richthofen-Geschwaders ist mit Schablone und Airbrush selbst gemacht, der Rest der Kennung sind Abziehbilder. Diese waren nicht sehr dünn, aber der Bausatz ist eben sehr alt, und das sind auch die Abziehbilder. Heutige sind besser.

These decals were not so thin, but the kit is very old, and so are the decals. Today's decals are better.
